What is the status of the CINP 2020 World Congress?
The CINP 2020 World Congress of Neuropsychopharmacology, has been postponed to 25 - 28 February 2021 in Taipei, Taiwan, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Why has CINP 2020 been postponed?
The CINP Executive Committee puts the health and welfare of participants and the local host community at the forefront of its decision making. The increasing risk assessment regarding the global spread of COVID-19 and the travel restrictions that are changing daily led us to take this decision. We are also aware that domestic and international restrictions are impacting (and likely will continue to impact) the ability of many colleagues to participate.
Will my hotel room reservation be cancelled?
If you have made a hotel room reservation within the official block of the Congress partner hotel, The Grand Hyatt Taipei, your reservation will be cancelled without penalty. Please note the Grand Hyatt Taipei has not taken payment. If you have any further questions, please contact email@example.com
Will my airfare be refunded?
Please ask your travel agent/airline and let them know you are cancelling or modifying your booking due to the postponement of CINP 2020 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The responsibility for airfare bookings and refunds falls outside the scope of CINP 2020 and will be dependent on the type of fare booked, the airline’s or agent’s own cancellation/rebooking policies regarding COVID-19, and any travel insurance coverage.
I am planning to attend the CINP World Congress in Taipei in February 2021 - can I simply transfer my registration fee to the new congress dates?

Should you change your mind or be unable to join us in February 2021, your registration fee will be refunded. Please note that cancellations received after 18 May 2020 will not be refunded. Refunds could take 6 – 8 weeks to be processed.
Can my congress registration fee be refunded?
Yes. Your registration has been transferred to the new congress dates of 25 to 28 February 2021: however, you may choose instead to be refunded in full. Please note that cancellation of your registration will forfeit the 2020 rate you received, and that registration rates for the 2021 dates may be subject to change. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a refund by 18 May 2020. Please note that cancellations received after 18 May 2020 will not be refunded. Can my congress registration be transferred to a new delegate?
Yes. To transfer your registration to another person, please email email@example.com with the original delegate’s registration ID or full name and provide us with the new delegate’s information.
Can I transfer my exhibit and/or sponsorship fee to the new CINP Congress dates?
Yes. Your exhibit and/or sponsorship fee from CINP 2020 will automatically be transferred to the new CINP congress dates (February 2021). As such, the exhibit/sponsorship fee will remain unchanged and we will guarantee your booth location as per this year’s floorplan and/or your sponsorship items. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your decision by 15 May 2020 if you have any questions.
Will I have to resubmit my presentation or poster proposal next year?
No. We hope that you will still be able to present your research and that we can offer you the same spot in the programme. However, if you would rather withdraw your poster/presentation or are not sure if you will be able to join us in Taipei during the new congress dates please email email@example.com 18 May 2020.
We are also likely to go out with a call for additional abstracts at a future date to ensure that the programme includes the latest developments in neuropsychopharmacology.
If you have already registered for the Congress and would like to cancel your registration, please refer to the Refund guidelines above. If you would like to cancel your registration but keep your submission in the programme please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, when you decide to re-register for the Congress once registration re-opens, rates for 2021 may be subject to change.
I have another question not mentioned above. Who do I contact?
